Thomas Joseph Griffin

Griffin, Thomas J., 74, of San Diego, California, formerly of Buffalo, New York, passed

away on March 31, 2025.

Tom is the beloved son of the late James and Florence (Rorick) Griffin. He is survived

by his five siblings, James (Sue) Griffin of Westlake, FL; Mary (Michael) Fox of

Syracuse, NY; Rose (Richard) Shehan of Fruita, CO; Vince (Cherie) Griffin of

Williamsville, NY; and Susan (Michael) Anders of Williamsville, NY. Tom is also survived

by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Tom graduated from the University at Buffalo in 1972 and continued on to receive his

MBA in 1980. He began his banking career in Buffalo at Marine Midland Bank (and

HSBC) and moved to San Diego, CA where he worked for Union Bank for several

years.

Tom quickly decided that he enjoyed working on his tennis game in sunny San Diego

rather than shoveling snow in Buffalo. He loved watching sports, especially the

Chargers and catching the highlights of the Buffalo Bills games.

No prior visitation. A private memorial will be held for the immediate family.
