Stephen Ray Boyer, born in Anchorage, Alaska to the late Jesse and Barbara (Quinby) Boyer on October 4, 1963, passed away on November 4, 2024, in San Diego, California, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 61 years old.

Stephen grew up with a strong sense of duty and honor, which led him to serve in the United States Navy after graduating from Medford Oregon High School. During his military career, Stephen achieved the rank of Chief Petty Officer, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues. He later went on to serve as a Rotary Aircraft Vibrations Analyst, a role he held until his retirement.

A passionate motorcycle enthusiast, Stephen was also president of his local motorcycle club, where he enjoyed both the camaraderie and the thrill of the open road. In addition to his love for motorcycles, Stephen was an avid car collector and a loyal fan of the San Diego Gulls hockey team.

His commitment to helping others was evident in his role as a drug and alcohol counselor for the Navy and Marine Corps, where he mentored countless individuals. Stephen’s dedication to his Eastern Orthodox faith was central to his life, and he was a deeply spiritual person, known for his strength, courage, and unwavering faith in God.

Stephen is survived by his siblings: Marie Humphres, Mary Wheeler, Marilynn Jensen, Maureen Weir, Jesse Boyer, and Marianne Wadsworth. He leaves behind many friends, colleagues, and loved ones who will remember him for his optimism, resilience, and genuine kindness.
