Shengbao Liu, aged 87, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2026, at his home in San Diego, California. At the time of his passing, he was surrounded and comforted by his loving family. Shengbao dedicated his life to education and academia. As a deeply respected scholar and educator, he touched the lives of countless students and colleagues throughout his career with his integrity, resilience, and generous spirit. To his family, he was a pillar of strength, kindness, and an enduring role model. He spent his final years enjoying a peaceful retirement in California. Per his final wishes, private services will be held. A final resting ceremony will take place on May 26, 2026, at Mount Hope Cemetery in San Diego, California.
