Hunter Mckay Spencer

Hunter McKay Spencer, 21, passed away on August 5, 2026, in Lakeside, California.

Hunter was born on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2004, at Naval Medical Center San Diego and spent most of his life in the San Diego area. Quirky, coy, funny, and playful, Hunter had a personality entirely his own and will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.

Hunter was previously an enlisted member of the United States Navy and was stationed aboard the USS Gerald R. Ford in Norfolk, Virginia.

He is survived by his father, Sean Spencer; his mother, Jayne Spencer; his brother, Remington Spencer; his grandparents; and his extended family.

Services will be held Monday, August 24, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Bravo Family Mortuary in San Diego. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Hunter’s memory to Stop Soldier Suicide, an organization dedicated to preventing suicide among U.S. veterans and service members.
