In Loving Memory of Esther Rivero

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Esther Veronica Rivero, on December 23, 2024, at the age of 56.

Born on January 12, 1968 in Caracas, Venezuela, Esther was the daughter of Eric Desuze from Grenada and Phyllis Desuze from Barbados. Esther was proud of her vibrant heritage, which reflected the warmth, resilience, and spirited culture of the Caribbean. Esther was a cherished wife, devoted daughter, loving sister, and faithful friend whose kindness and warmth touched everyone she met.

For 23 beautiful years, Esther shared her life with her loving husband, Carlos Rivero. She was known for her radiant smile, positive outlook, compassionate heart, and unwavering support for her family and friends.

Esther found great joy in exploring the world through cinema as an avid foreign film enthusiast, relishing stories that celebrated diverse cultures.

A true lover of the beach, Esther cherished long walks along the shore with their dog Ricky or simply gazing out at the ocean’s beauty. These serene moments brought her immense happiness and peace.

Esther was a dedicated professional who embodied a “can-do” attitude and approached every challenge with determination and grace. Her career at Intuit was marked by her hard work, and her ability to inspire those around her. Team building was a cornerstone of her work ethic; she had a unique talent for fostering collaboration, uplifting her colleagues, and creating a supportive and productive environment. Her positive energy and commitment to excellence left a lasting legacy that her colleagues deeply admired and will never forget.

Esther is survived by her husband, Carlos Rivero, her mother, Phyllis Desuze, and her siblings, Carlos Desuze, Betty Dumpson, and Daniel Desuze. She also leaves behind her beloved extended family, including nieces, nephews and in-laws.

A memorial service and celebration of Esther’s life will be held on January 12, 2025, from 11am-3pm in Mission Hills:

We will always love you, Esther. You will live forever in our hearts!

John 14:1-3

“Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me so that you also may be where I am.”
