Dane Edward Armstrong was called to eternal rest on January 8, 2025 at his home in San Diego,
California. He was born August 21, 1951 at Holzer Hospital, Gallipolis Ohio. Dane was the first child
born to Donna Lou Armstrong Collins.
He graduated from North Gallia High School in 1971 excelling in
General Business studies. Immediately upon graduation, Dane enlisted in the US Navy as a Naval Stores
Keeper. He served his country in the US Navy honorably for over 20 years. Upon retirement, he
continued to serve as a contracted IT Support Specialist for the US Navy.
Throughout his life, Dane was a caring and loving man, slow to anger and quick to forgive. He will be
missed by everyone whose life he touched. He enjoyed science fiction, especially Star Trek, and video
gaming.
He is proceeded in death by his mother Donna Lou Armstrong Collins and Step-Father Colston G. Collins.
He is survived by six siblings: Harold Collins, Deborah Norwood, Colston Collins Jr., Teresa Collins, Carol
Penick, Tina Hurt; Aunt Hatti Reed, many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
His memorial service will be held 30 January 2025, 1:30 at the Miramar National Cemetery, San Diego,
CA.
