Carol Jean Kiefer

Carol Jean Kiefer was born and raised in Zurich, MT. Carol passed away from natural causes during her short stay at a San Diego hospital. She is survived by her two daughters, Kari and Laurie, residing in San Diego, and her brother, John Pike, who resides in Montana.

Carol graduated from Montana's Chinook High School. There she met and dated her future husband, Jim Kiefer. The couple married shortly following Carol's graduation. They resided in Havre, MT, and raised two daughters. Carol worked for many years, utilizing her food service expertise, working within the bakery department at Buttrey's Food grocery store.

Carol relocated to San Diego in 1984 to be close to her daughters. For three decades, Carol continued to be a dedicated food service employee at local hospitals.

People immediately were drawn to Carol's fun-loving nature and kind spirit. Carol was a natural beauty, as her large green eyes and her warm, bright smile caught your attention. Carol had a petite stature but was exceedingly energetic, as for three decades she walked two miles each day. Carol met many friends during her walks, as she shared her lovely smile with all she passed. Upon meeting Carol, it was immediately clear that she was an innately generous soul who would help anyone. Carol had gained wisdom from her life experiences, and this enabled her to offer a fresh perspective and sound advice.

Carol will be greatly missed by her daughters, family, and friends. Carol's legacy is her infectious joy and always available kindness, and her endless devotion to her family.
