Alexander Guadalupe Marquez, II

DeeDee “Alex” Marquez went home to Jesus on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at 10:26pm at

age 70.

DeeDee was born to Alex and Vivian Marquez on April 20, 1954, in San Diego, California. At

age of 12 he lost his father, but 4 years later (1970), he found the love of his life, Gloria (Bear)

Reyes and his partner until the day he went home to his heavenly father.

Bear and DeeDee married over a year later, January 29, 1972, after finding each other and

realizing they didn’t want to be away from one another. They moved from San Diego to Orange

County where they had their 2 children, Marla and Alex.

DeeDee decided to take his family and move to Bakersfield where his mom lived. They stayed

in Bakersfield for a while but then decided to head back to Orange County where his heart was.

He lived in Anaheim until he retired at the age of 65. Him and Bear bought their first house in

Riverside, where he resided until he went home to his heavenly father.

DeeDee enjoyed every minute he had. He was a giving and caring man who valued family and

people in general. He would offer help to others whether he knew them or not and did what he

can. He enjoyed his time with his bear and everyone that came into his life. He will always be

remembered and loved. We will miss DeeDee!
